Mira Mesa Christian Schools is accredited with W.A.S.C., the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and A.C.S.I., the Association of Christian Schools International through 2013.  Meanwhile we will address the recommendations outlined in the Self-Study Report in preparation for renewal.

Mira Mesa Christian Preschool is licensed by the State of California.

 

MAJOR COMMENDATIONS

THE COMMITTEE COMMENDS:

 

1.     The school board, administration, faculty and staff for providing a warm, caring and cohesive Christian School Community where students are encouraged to develop their full potential for the Lord and where Christian families are assisted in reinforcing basic Christian values in an increasingly secular world. (ACSI Standard 3.0: School, Home and Community; WASC Criteria C.2: Parent/Community Involvement; School Purpose)

 

2.     The administration for committed support of the teachers and staff, which provides both encouragement and guidance and serves as a stabilizing force for the school. (ACSI Standard 4.0: School Personnel; WASC Criteria A: Organization for Student Learning; School Purpose)

 

3.     The administration and faculty for providing a strong instructional program in Bible, resulting in 76% of the school’s students scoring at either proficient or advanced levels on standardized tests for Bible knowledge. (ACSI Standard 5.0: Instructional Program/Bible; WASC Criteria B: Curriculum and Instruction; School Purpose)

 

4.     The entire school community for the extraordinary sense of partnership that is obviously shared by all involved in Mira Mesa Christian School, resulting in a very effective Christian educational community. 5.     The extended care staff for providing a program that clearly seeks to meet the needs of students in a loving and nourishing atmosphere, contributing to the educational experience and personal well-being of each student. 6.     The administration, faculty and staff for undertaking the task of accreditation in a small school setting, clearly demonstrating their concern for quality Christian education and for providing the very best for school families. 7.     The school board, administration and faculty for the efficient use of the space available, thus facilitating the various parts of the program as effectively and efficiently as possible.
